Construction Technology
The Construction Technologies strand provides opportunities for students to investigate and develop knowledge and skills related to the building and manufacturing trades and occupations. Students learn to recognize how these competencies apply in their personal lives, as well as in making informed choices related to careers, gainful employment and/or further study.
Each strand that a student completes is worth 1 Credit. Students enrolled in Construction Technology are expected to receive a minimum 3 credits for a single semester and 5 credit for the entire year.

Fabrications
The Fabrication Studies strand provides opportunities for students to investigate and develop important knowledge and skills central to the transformation of metals and other related materials into useful products and structures. Students learn to recognize how these competencies apply in their personal lives, as well as in making informed choices relating to careers, gainful employment and/or further study.
Each strand that a student completes is worth 1 Credit. Students enrolled in Fabrications are expected to receive a minimum 3 credits for a single semester and 5 credit for the entire year.

Information Processing
The Information Processing strand helps students develop knowledge and skills relating to computer technologies in six areas: systems management, text/data input, productivity software, applied processing, programming, and emerging technologies.
Each strand that a student completes is worth 1 Credit. Students enrolled in Information Processing are expected to receive a minimum 3 credits for a single semester and 5 credit for the entire year.

Communication Technology
The Communication Technology strand encourages students to use creative thinking and problem-solving skills in presentations, photography, print and audio/visual production, in order to help them develop media and technology literacy.
Each strand that a student completes is worth 1 Credit. Students enrolled in Communication Technologies are expected to receive a minimum 3 credits for a single semester and 5 credit for the entire year.

Legal Studies
By presenting students with basic and practical information, the Legal Studies strand helps students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to respond appropriately to the influences of law in their daily lives. The intermediate and advanced level courses give a broader perspective as students research challenging issues and career-related opportunities.
Students will receive 1 Credit for each module that they complete. At Buck Mountain Central School students will be expected to complete the following three modules:
- LGS1010 - You and the Law 1
- LGS1020 - You and the Law 2
- LGS3080 - Criminal Law
